Operations & Analytics Manager (Finance)



Job Description:

The Operations & Analytics Manager leads forecasting and planning and is essential for day-to-day operations on our Walmart and Sam's Club sales teams.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • 3-5+ years of experience in sales, forecasting, strategy, operations or analytics (CPG experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong skills in Excel, BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.), and syndicated/POS data (Nielsen, IRI, Scintilla, Madrid).
  • Proven ability to lead meetings and drive alignment across cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with comfort presenting to leadership audiences.
  • Strong organizational and process management capabilities.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Lead the sales forecasting process on Walmart and Sam's club, ensuring forecasts reflect sales inputs, promotions, and market trends.
  • Serve as the operations lead for the Mars Walmart and Sam's teams, managing meeting cadences, aligning local leadership, and ensuring consistent execution of sales processes.
  • Deliver analytics, insights, and operational leadership that improve forecast accuracy, strengthen customer planning, and support sales team performance.

Sales Forecasting & Planning

  • Own the rolling customer-level forecast process for sales inside of algorithmic based Salesforce planning system.
  • Integrate sales team inputs, POS data, promotions, and distribution updates into forecast recommendations.
  • Track forecast accuracy, diagnose drivers of variance, and recommend adjustments.

Operations Leadership
  • Lead sales operations meetings with local leadership, ensuring clear visibility of performance and priorities.
  • Drive alignment across sales and supply chain through structured meeting cadences.
  • Act as the process owner for sales forecasting and operations, ensuring consistency and accountability across teams.

Analytics & Insights

  • Provide data-driven insights on product performance and forecast accuracy.
  • Develop dashboards, scorecards, and tools that enable sales teams to track and act on shipment and forecast data.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable guidance for sales leadership and customer teams.

Process & Capability Building
  • Continuously improve forecasting methods, reporting processes, and meeting effectiveness.
  • Champion adoption of advanced tools, syndicated data, and POS analytics to enhance sales planning.
  • Train and support sales teams in applying forecast insights and operational best practices.
