Job Summary

CRH Americas, Inc., is seeking a Global Mobility Manager to coordinate inbound/outbound expatriate assignments with the HR leaders of our four business segments, CRH's corporate Global Mobility team and our corporate tax and legal departments. The position will also provide expertise for CRH Americas around global mobility best practices and manage frequent business travelers, cross-border issues, and other related topics. The Global Mobility function is responsible for ensuring mobility policies are up to date and in line with industry standards, planning and managing expatriate assignments, managing compliance and governance related to global mobility and managing third-party vendors. The job will play a liaison/project management role for inbound/outbound international assignments and a more direct role in Americas specific mobility issues. This newly created role, reporting to the Vice President Reward for CRH Americas, will be based out of Atlanta, GA in a hybrid work environment.

Job Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

1. International Assignment Management (inbound/outbound coordination with CRH Global Mobility):
   
   • Coordinate and manage all aspects of international assignments, including assignment cost projections, immigration, relocation, taxation, in coordination with CRH Global Mobility, Americas HR leaders and various vendors.
   • Provide guidance and support to employees throughout the assignment lifecycle, from pre-assignment preparation to repatriation.
2. Cross-border new hires and localizations
   
   • Coordinate and support the international aspects of CRH Americas hiring new employees from other countries (involving cross-border relocation), permanent transfers from within the CRH Group and localization of individuals following an international assignment.
3. Immigration and Visa Compliance (in coordination with corporate legal department):
   
   • Stay up to date with immigration laws, regulations, and visa requirements in the Americas.
   • Assist employees in obtaining necessary work permits, visas, and other legal documents.
   • Work with the Immigration Specialist in the CRH Global Mobility team and the CRH Americas Legal team on immigration-related filings.
   • Assist in developing standards for company-supported green cards and naturalization.
   • Track visa expiration dates and initiate the renewal process in coordination with key stakeholders.
   • Consult with immigration authorities and external service providers to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
   • Assist Americas employees with international business travel (business visitor letters, visa requirements, ETIAS waiver program registration, etc.).
4. Employee Support and Counselling (in coordination with host HR leaders):
   
   • Serve as a primary point of contact for globally mobile employees, addressing their queries, concerns, and challenges throughout the assignment lifecycle. Provide guidance on cultural adjustment, local practices, and living conditions in the Americas.
   • Offer support to employees and their families to ensure their well-being and successful integration.
   • Develop policies and guidance for key markets (e.g., Atlanta and other operational hubs) for the support and benefits provided to inbound employees (e.g., housing, education, cars) to ensure buy-in from all stakeholders, maintain internal equity and create a positive experience for our inbound employees.
5. Taxation and Payroll Coordination:
   
   • Collaborate with CRH global mobility, tax vendors and payroll teams to manage tax implications for globally mobile employees.
   • Monitor the accurate and timely processing of payroll, including tax equalization, tax protection, and social security contributions.
   • Track tax implications for frequent business travelers and work with legal counsel to advise whether an intermittent work visa is recommended/required.
   • Coordinate with the tax department and external advisors to provide guidance on tax-related matters and assist in resolving any tax issues that arise during assignments.
6. Data Management and Reporting:
   
   • Maintain accurate records of employee assignments, immigration documents, and relevant compliance information.
   • Generate reports and analyze data to track assignment costs, trends, and performance metrics. Provide insights and recommendations to help improve global mobility processes and policies.
   • Manage the US/Canada Frequent Business Traveler program ensuring international travelers are set up with the mobile calendar system for tax and compliance tracking.
   • Participate in the creation or renewal of US/Canada cross-border waivers.
7. Policy Development and Implementation:
   
   • Share feedback and participate with CRH Global Mobility to develop and update global mobility policies, guidelines, and procedures to align with company objectives and industry best practices.
   • Communicate policies to employees and HR teams, ensuring a clear understanding of expectations, entitlements, and obligations.
8. Vendor Collaboration:
   
   • Collaborate with external service providers, such as relocation agencies, immigration consultants, tax advisors, and international payroll providers.
   • Monitor service quality and cost-effectiveness and approve/process invoices for domestic vendors.
   • Review invoices from external service providers to ensure compliance with agreed upon fee schedule and issue the same to appropriate operating companies for payment.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, finance, business, or a related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in handling global mobility or related programs within a multinational organization or a global mobility service provider.
• Knowledge of international assignment management, immigration laws, and taxation regulations.
• Familiarity with HR policies, compensation and benefits, and global employment practices.
• Proficient in using HRIS systems, global mobility software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels and across multiple functions and diverse cultures to resolve complex, time-sensitive issues.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities, capable of multitasking, working independently and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and analytical mindset to manage complex compliance global mobility processes.

Work Requirements

• Must be 18 years in age or older
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

• Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required - less than 10% travel
