Power Systems Rental Service Manager (Sales)

The Sales & Rental Operations Support Manager overseas the orderly and timely flow of all new and used General Line, Wagner Rents, and Power Systems Sales & Rental Departments electronic and written documents relative to sales, RPO, rental, leases, special programs, factory ordering, licensing, warranty, inventory, and shop job initiation. Works closely with leadership (corporate and branch level) to develop and implement consistent and effective operating processes across the Wagner enterprise.  This position ensures that software investments are fully leveraged.  Develops and assists operating managers in achieving KPI objectives and ensures that all administrative functions are as effective and efficient as possible. 

Pay Rate:  $79,312.91 - $109,055.56 Annually 
Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience.

  • Works with operating areas to achieve expected levels of performance
  • Works with other departments across the Wagner enterprise to enhance cooperation and effective cross – departmental processes
  • Ensures that all Sales & Rental Operations processes are being consistently followed across the entire territory
  • Maintains all machine and attachment inventory records including new, used, and rental book values, inventory location, and ordering
  • Assumes overall responsibility for developing and implementing budgets and objectives for this are
  • Assures that sales & rental reports (KPIs) are effective and distributed on schedule
  • Manages the processes and orderly flow of sales orders from entry into the system to final invoicing, maintaining a heavy emphasis on speed and accuracy
  • Manages the applicable data gathering, storing, and retrieving processes and functionality of all Sales & Rental Department records
  • Maintains a high level of communication with applicable Caterpillar and vendor personnel to ensure understanding and compliance of all special programs and machine-reporting guidelines
  • Interfaces with CAT Operations Reps to exchange best practice information and influence CAT as needed
  • Understands and influences future systems/software development and implementation
  • Stays abreast of and seeks to influence CAT system solutions
  • Supervises and provides leadership/support to the activities of all direct reports while enhancing employee satisfaction
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree in Art or Science, or equivalent industry, managerial, and administrative experience
  • Project management
  • Ability to work comfortably with accounting principles
  • Strong ability to communicate, influence, and build consensus across department lines
  • 3-5 years administrative/clerical experience
  • 3-5 years of Supervisory/Management experience 
  • 3-5 years of Project Management experience 
  • 5+ years customer service experience
  • 1-3 years sales experience 

Physical Demands & Competencies:

  • Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing
  • Squatting/Kneeling
  • Ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, etc.
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing but may require occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
  • Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills
  • Safety & Product Knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Intermediate knowledge of DBS & CRM/Sales Link

Travel Requirements:

  • 1%- 25%
