Research & Development Technician (Finance)
Assists with development, manufacturing, quality control (QC) molecular products and transfers necessary details to other function units (Production/QC) as needed.
Performs basic molecular biology techniques including PCR, gel electrophoresis, nucleic acid quantitation (qPCR and Digital PCR), cloning, nucleic acid isolation.
Manufactures test lots and analyzes biomaterial performance for R&D workflows.
Performs new product research and development under supervision.
Documents experiments to support new product design controls, validations, verification, qualification, and specification/performance and statistical analysis as they apply to the company's products and according to policies and procedures
Fill out and record all applicable production documentation.
Assists with development and production of products for customer requests or contract projects that do not fall within the scope of any current product lines and/or requires the capability of the department.
Writes or reviews new department SOPs/update existing department SOPs as necessary.
Collaborate, support, and communicate on a regular basis with project teams and members of other functional areas.
Prepare detailed data analysis summaries or reports, documenting experiment findings into company provided databases and to others in the team.

Here is what we are looking for:
Education/Experience
Four (4) year degree in relevant field (e.g., biology, microbiology, virology, cell biology molecular biology).
At least 1-year hands-on experience working with molecular biology techniques such as nucleic acid isolation, cloning, PCR, primer design, etc.
Knowledgeable on aseptic technique.
Knowledgeable with formulations and basic chemistry techniques (calculating dilutions, molarity, copy number).
Familiar with various public databases for retrieving publications or nucleotide sequences.
