Senior Financial Analyst - Hybrid (2-3 days in office flexible) (Personal Services)
MODE Global currently seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst II with a mid-size private equity-owned company to join our team in Dallas, TX.
This position will report to the Senior Finance Manager, has frequent interaction with the executive team, and offers a competitive employee benefits package as well as a hybrid work environment. As part of the Corporate FP&A, team you will collaborate with business, finance, and accounting teams across the organization to provide financial insights across the company's divisions, building models and synthesizing data for the budget and forecasting processes, and preparing and communicating results via reports and presentations.
Responsibilities
• Perform monthly financial reporting including research, explanation, and resolution of monthly variances and preparation of the Monthly Business Review (MBR) package.
• Coordinate and perform annual and quarterly budgets/forecasts including creating and maintaining models, statement formulation (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), and building presentations.
• Prepare business segment materials to be used in all monthly, quarterly, and annual presentations.
• Develop and prepare department-specific KPI and financial scorecards for distribution to senior management.
• Build financial models and create dashboards and reports in the Enterprise Planning & Reporting system.
• Assist with management of due diligence acquisition information, pro-forma financial statement modeling, and EBITDA adjustments of acquired business.
• Partner with various business leaders to understand key business drivers and industry trends.
• Participate and take initiative in various finance-led process improvement activities and other special projects.
• Work closely with Operational Finance and Accounting in a liaison role.
• Bring a strong work ethic, a sense of ownership, and a positive attitude to tackle the day's challenges.
Experience/Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Business, or Economics
• MBA or CPA preferred
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• 5+ years of relevant experience in finance and financial analysis roles that support complex modeling, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
• Possess a highly detail-oriented and data-driven aptitude
• Understanding of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow modeling
• Self-motivated team player with strong ability to interact with others, work under pressure, and adhere to deadlines
• Coachable, open to feedback, eager to grow into a well-rounded finance professional
• Prior experience in accounting is desired
• Experience as a power user with Enterprise Planning & Reporting tools; Adaptive Planning experience a plus
• Prior experience in a private equity platform with a conceptual understanding of GAAP vs. adjusted EBITDA
