Sr Test Engineer - Design Validation (Finance)

We are seeking a Sr Test Engineer - Design Validation to lead test strategy, planning, and execution for Honeywell's Hitech & Fixed Portfolio products. In this role, you will collaborate across engineering, quality, and regulatory functions to ensure high-quality, standards-compliant products are delivered on time. You will also drive test automation, simulation, and lab capability development to strengthen validation practices and accelerate product delivery.

The annual base salary range for this position is $98,400 - $123,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.

US PERSON REQUIREMENT:
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.YOU MUST HAVE:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• 2 to 5+ years of experience years in product testing and validation.

WE VALUE:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communication/Electronics and Electrical
• Hands-on expertise with microprocessor-based systems, analog/digital design, power supply design, and sensor interfacing.
• Proven experience in end-to-end qualification testing for compliance, including EMI troubleshooting.
• At least two complete product development lifecycle experiences (initiation through launch and post-release maintenance).
• Ability to automate data acquisition with LabVIEW or Python.
• Strong knowledge of communication protocols (USB, DDR, SGMII, HDMI, SPI, I²C) and exposure to wireless interfaces (Wi-Fi, BLE).
• Circuit design and error budgeting experience.
• Strong statistical analysis skills using tools such as Excel, MATLAB, or Minitab.
• Understanding of optical spectroscopy and laser-based gas detection.
• Ability to develop embedded programs in C language.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma principles in product design and development.
• Experience with sensor signal conditioning circuits and microcontroller integration
• Awareness of IEC 61508/IEC 61511 functional safety standards.
• Experience with ATEX/flameproof design and intrinsic safety (IS) techniques.KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:
• Develop and implement test strategies for Hitech & Fixed Portfolio products.
• Define test plans, identify technical risks, and establish mitigation plans early in program phases.
• Drive opportunities to adopt/develop automation and simulation tools to improve quality and reduce test cycle times.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define robust test plans and ensure on-time delivery of tested products.
• Create and execute use case scenarios to guide test strategy and execution.
• Perform diverse testing types: performance, functional, installation, compatibility, usability.
• Provide input on program reviews, requirements definition, and product enhancement opportunities.
• Mentor and coach team members, contributing to skill development and knowledge growth.
• Work with global/local stakeholders to ensure flawless execution.
• Build and expand lab capabilities to support business needs.
• Develop test automation using LabVIEW and Python.
• Ensure compliance with international standards including ATEX, FM3260, EMI/EMC, EN54-10.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews alongside technical leads.About Us
