Out & About Lead Direct Support Professional (Morris County) (Healthcare)
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Out N About program is a community inclusion program for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The program provides social and/or recreational opportunities for the individuals in the program. The Program Lead shall provide support and guidance to Direct Support Professionals, ensuring consumers are cared for under the best practices and support options. The Program Lead will work with the Family Support Coordinator to plan activities/events monthly and will be responsible for all necessary paperwork for all activities/events. Additionally, the Program Lead shall assist individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in participating in recreational and social activities within the community and will assure that their health and safety is maintained during community outings. The DSP will always treat the consumer/caregiver with dignity.
Out N About programming occurs on Saturdays and requires in-person staff attendance. Saturday events take place from approximately 10AM – 2PM. Virtual opportunities may also be available throughout the week. Hour availability will vary based on scheduled events.
