This position combines local HR management support for the Headquarters of the Sensing and Protection Business Unit population and a generalist HR Business Partner (HRBP) role in support of the HR VP and the broader global Sensing and Protection leadership team. The position is located in Mansfield Ohio and reports to Sensing and Protection's global VP of HR. The incumbent will be able to take advantage of Sensing and Protection's favorable work from home policy with the option of working up to two days at home.
AS THE HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER, YOU WILL:
Serves as the Human Resources business partner for global functional leaders such as VP of Operations, VP of Supply Chain, VP of Marketing, CFO as well as headquarters staff.
Implement business-specific HR strategies that support the building of required capabilities and the development of talent across the organization. This includes partnering with managers on all annual processes including organizational review, performance management, and training initiatives.
Lead recruitment for all jobs within the HQ office, partnering with our talent acquisition team to ensure a superior applicant experience.
Serves as the organizer and coordinator of the Organizational Development process including preparing the annual Organizational Review and facilitating the annual Talent Review
Actively collaborate with regional HR teams, peers, and corporate HR and legal to deliver results to internal customers
Leverage workforce data and information to inform and guide business-level decision-making (reporting, analytics, data gathering and compiling, etc.).
Develop and monitor global communication plan; support various projects having an HR impact that may require global coordination (e.g. new program roll-outs.
Identify employee relations issues and take appropriate action to avoid problems or maximize opportunities by working with management to resolve employee relations issues and to develop performance improvement plans when necessary
Ensure compliance with HR policies and directives of Emerson and promotes Emerson's purpose and values.
Manage other requests appropriately

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
A degree in business, human resources, or related field is required.
Experience working in an industrial company preferred; previous HR experience working in a plant strongly preferred
Demonstrate a strong mastery of USA employment-related matters through relevant experience
At least 5-7 years experience in generalist and specialist roles including an understanding of and hands-on exposure to the various HR functions.
A track record of positive results and an ability to show how his/her programs and policies have contributed to the growth and bottom-line profitability of an organization while enhancing or driving cultural change.
Effectively able to communicate at all levels of the organization, excellent communication, and presentation skills
Credibility as a trusted advisor and confidant to senior management on business issues and business strategy with the ability to link human resources as a driver and influencer of business performance; can exercise judgement and feels comfortable challenging ideas and plans.
Consistently demonstrate a “Roll up your sleeves” style. A proactive results-oriented mindset required
Proficient and savvy in HRIS methodology and systems; strong, above-average Excel and PowerPoint skills required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Masters in HR or an MBA preferred.
Experience working in an industrial company preferred; previous HR experience working in a plant strongly preferred
Ability to speak Spanish or Mandarin preferred
HR or PROSCI certification preferred
