Job Title: Information Technology Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Department: Administration Reports to: Vice President of Finance and Administration
Since 1975 Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) has been an essential part of the Kansas City metro. Our mission is to improve the lives of those impacted by sexual abuse and assault, and to prevent sexual violence in our community. We are seeking an IT professional with a comprehensive knowledge of information technology systems, project management skills and implementation experience. The ideal applicant will communicate confidently and concisely while exhibiting a strong commitment to customer service.
SUMMARY The purpose of this position is to create an efficient and secure information technology environment. Protecting client data is a high priority for MOCSA. This position recommends, develops, and implements cost-effective technology solutions for all departments. This position is responsible for leading and managing various IT projects and implementation strategy while coordinating with and overseeing our managed services vendor who provides helpdesk and end-user support.
JOB OBJECTIVES
I. Implementation of Policies a. Understand overall business mission, vision and direction of MOCSA to ensure the management and implementation of new technology solutions align with emerging business requirements. b. Enforce and recommend updates as needed to the Information Security Policy, Disaster Recovery Plan, Security Incident and Response Procedures and other technology policies and procedures. c. Develop and enhance information technology education and communication to keep staff up-to-date on all relevant technology security, policies, and procedures. d. Maintain HIPAA and VAWA security compliance, as well as, any compliance required by MOCSA's grant funders as it relates to technology. e. Ensure compliance with all of MOCSA policies and procedures as it relates to technology.
II. Management of IT Operations a. Work closely with organizational leaders to interpret technology needs and work with vendors to find solutions and improve applications. b. Determine long term needs and pursue purchases as well as contracts that will aid in accomplishing business objectives. a. Develop and implement strategies that enable smarter business processes, system upgrades, implementations, and transition planning b. Manage IT experience for onboarding and offboarding employees; may provide training/education for staff on an individual or group basis. c. Participate in developing annual budget for all IT expenses and monitor/ report expenses throughout the year. d. Secure, track, and maintain technology, governance, and telecommunications inventory. e. Manage user account information , including rights, security, governance, and system groups. f. Ensure systems are working correctly by routine testing and monitoring of security and systems. g. Provide day-to-day technology support and troubleshoot recurring issues not resolved or provided by managed services vendor. h. Provide an IT focused dashboard to monitor the health of the MOCSA ecosystem. i. Develop and execute an IT technology roadmap.
III. Vendor Relations and Oversight a. Provide oversight of managed services vendor to ensure all required duties and commitments are fulfilled and their services are in compliance with all MOCSA policies. b. Manage/oversee IT vendor relationships and service level agreements, reporting and troubleshooting system issues with vendor(s). c. Manage external consultants and vendors to deliver planned initiatives with strong project and program management discipline. d. Participate in vendor contract negotiations for all technology equipment, services, and software applications purchased for the agency. e. Troubleshoot service and device issues with telecommunications vendors. f. Solicit RFPs and consolidate responses for cost and product comparisons related to technology and communications.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years' experience working in the IT sector or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Experience with Microsoft Office 365 administration.
Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a nonprofit, government or healthcare setting. Experience with HIPAA and/or VAWA compliance. Experience partnering with an MSP to manage users and applications. Experience with Active Directory administration, VMWare knowledge and understanding, Windows server and workstation administration. Experience leading and managing IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies. Experience with antivirus administration.

WORK HOURS This is a full-time position; business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Flexible scheduling and hybrid in office/work from home available. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
TRAVEL Occasional travel throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area.
BENEFITS Full time benefits include 15 days of vacation, 16 paid holidays, 12 sick days, birthday holiday, winter break, 89% employer covered health insurance, 100% employer paid dental, life, and long-term disability Insurance, and 2% 403(b) match. The salary range for this position is $73,000 - $98,000 depending on experience, education and other qualifications.
