This regular part-time non-posted position will have no set work days and may be assigned to work two out of three weekends. This position will primarily work as a dietary aide, and in a secondary role as cook. Ensures that food is received, stored, handled and prepared in a safe and sanitary manner. And in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations. Will work as cashier in the cafeteria, and also wash and sanitize dishes, glasses, utensils, pots and pans and food carts. Complete cleaning assignments according to specific instructions as outlined in the cleaning manual. Serve meals in an appetizing manner. Requirements: Customer service skills; treat patients, residents, customers and coworkers with understanding, kindness and respect. Problem solving ability; ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Prefer previous foodservice work in a health care. Must be able to read, write, understand and verbally communicate in English.
