Traffic Engineer (Transportation)



GPI is seeking a full-time Traffic Engineer for our growing Connecticut Operations. Responsibilities:

Thorough understanding of current traffic engineering standards and practices
Working knowledge of drafting, traffic analysis, and simulation programs (Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS, AUTOCAD) is required. Knowledge of VISSIM and SIDRA is a plus
Good writing skills with the ability to prepare reports and memorandums.
Interest in learning and growing as a professional while mentoring younger staff to strengthen the team
Attendance at industry events and networking.

Qualifications:

BS in Civil Engineering required with a focus on Traffic/Transportation preferred
7+ years of traffic engineering experience preferred. All levels of experience will be considered
PE is required (CT preferred), and PTOE, and RSP are plusses.
Experience developing conceptual intersection/corridor options is a plus
Interest and experience in working on complete streets projects is a plus
Experience with urban design and current design practices for multi-modal accommodation is a plus
Experience working on CTDOT projects is a plus
