Maintenance Planner (Architecture)

  • Responsible for continuous improvement of preventive maintenance planning and prioritizing work order completion.  Advise Maintenance Manager of all critical issues and assists in advance planning to prevent issues. 

  • Routinely interacts, communicates and collaborates with Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Purchasing, Maintenance Forepersons, Maintenance Technicians, Production Manager and/or Production Supervisors to meet needs of plant operations on daily basis.

  • Review production schedule daily with Maintenance Manager, Supervisor and Leads to ensure lines are changed over, setup and tested at the earliest opportunity.

  • Receives and examines all work orders to be done and determines scope and best way to accomplish work load and assign accordingly, ensuring safety work orders take precedence.  Identifies and obtains materials required on the work orders and has prepared for assigned technician.   

  • Develops and maintains planner reference systems (library) including a file of planned job packages for recurring jobs.  Equipment and process specific labor and material information within the library are used to simplify the planning of new jobs.

  • Ensures completed work orders are returned promptly and filled out accurately by all required personnel.

  • Performs post job reviews to ensure actual work performed and post maintenance testing was adequate; identify changes needed to PM program (based on activity results) and/or changes to equipment design and/or inventory management practices to optimize the overall maintenance process. 

  • Provides Maintenance Manager with supporting reports of labor usage, parts and material usage, trending documentation, etc.

  • Ensures food safety/quality polices are followed, report all food safety/quality problems out of his/her realm of responsibility to proper authority to initiate corrective actions. 

  • Reports all unsafe acts and unsafe working conditions to supervision/management immediately.  Promotes a safe working environment.
