IT Business Solutions Manager (Information Technology)



Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Manager IT Business Solutions to join our Sales Technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the technical work intake process across the Sales Technology business function and align those ideas and projects with Sales strategic priorities. This role will serve to translate technical requests from Customer Service, Sales, Sales Operations, Sales Training and Sales Marketing into actionable approaches for the purpose of planning and prioritization.

Job Description

A key function of this role is the ability to work cross functionally within the IT organization including the Order to Cash, Warehouse Management Systems, eCommerce, Business Intelligence and EDI teams.  This role will have a clear understanding of the needs across these groups and fostering inter-departmental communication and collaboration in service of business goals. This role requires excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, problem solving and a customer-centric approach.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with business partners (Directors, VPs) and Sales Technology Managers to perform an initial technical/functional assessment of requests including effort, benefits and priority across the following business functions – Sales, Sales Operations, Pricing, CRM, Customer Service and Sales Compensation.
  • Facilitate bi-weekly meetings with Sales Technology Directors, Architects and VP to review new projects and idea initial assessments. Be able to articulate the business case, the high-level business requirements, effort and resources needed.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Sales Tech Managers and Cross Functional Team Managers to refine intake requests on projects to include appropriate business case, resources, effort, timeline, budget and details of project.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architect on work intake to understand customer requirements and provide tailored technical approaches and solutions to meet the business objectives.  Ability to ascertain technical feasibility of the project and which teams within IT to engage.
  • Work with Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) team to move projects through staffing to start execution.
  • Ensure top priority workstream ideas are being properly managed across business functions through the collaboration of Sales Technology team managers.
  • Ensure proper balance of resources across teams based on projects and workstreams.
  • Lead cross functional workstream projects across Order to Cash, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), eCommerce (ECOM), Business Intelligence (BI) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) teams.
  • Lead issue resolution across Order to Cash, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), eCommerce (ECOM), Business Intelligence (BI) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) teams.  Work directly with customers IT organizations to troubleshoot issues.
  • Ensure cross functional managers understand priority and urgency of projects.
  • Ability to create presentations or dashboards providing visibility into prioritization.  Skilled in creating clear and compelling visual representations of data using charts to highlight key information and trends.
  • Keep sales leaders (Directors, VPs) up to date on large initiatives status and business value.
  • Mentor and manage Sr. Business System Analyst and others as the team grows.  Ability to coach, mentor, motivate, and prioritize team members' work.

 

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree.

Certification / Licensure

  • None required.

Work Experience

  • At least 7 years of experience in a solution delivery role leading technology projects.
  • At least 2 years of management experience.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Experience in managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with business stakeholders.
  • Ability to be collaborative and to encourage collaboration.
  • Ability to translate technical jargon into simple terms for business leaders.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Experience as a business facing architect, technical product manager or application manager.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$115,440.00 - $173,160.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
