Network Technician (Finance)

We are currently seeking a Network Technician to support the Messer infrastructure and all equipment that is in use as well as assist in maintaining the stability and integrity of the local area network, wireless network and all associated infrastructure hardware. The network technician will participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software and communication links.

What You Will Do:

  • Configure, deploy and support routers, switches, access points, UPSs, and other hardware.
  • Support new and existing equipment, hardware, and related software upgrades.
  • Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
  • Build network equipment to provided specifications
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
  • Help maintain network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephone equipment, and other network appliances.
  • Maintain documentation and technical specifications as needed.
  • Assist in configuring network security solutions.
  • Support conference room technology.

What You Will Bring:
  • Experience in information technology and networking
  • Basic understanding of network security principles, general network best practices, network hardware (including routers and switches), protocols and Internet standards (including routing, DHCP, and DNS).
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, showing attention to detail.
  • Effective prioritization of tasks.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Willingness to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
