As the Product Support Engineer , you will define and coordinate the technical resources of Aircraft Products in the resolution of field service issues. Key Responsibilities :
Regular and effective collaboration with customers (both OEMs and End Users), AP's Design, Test, Quality, Process, and Manufacturing Engineering Groups, Glass Business Development Center personnel, and the Sales and Marketing Group.
Compiling the necessary technical documents for field support of AP products. This includes such literature as Maintenance Manual chapters, Service Letters, Bulletins, and Product Performance Data Sheets.
Establish and conduct customer training programs in recommended product maintenance practices.
Develop customer relationships that foster the acquisition of the necessary data to define product reliability. This includes gathering available statistics from the airlines and OEMs, defining, and conducting field product evaluations, defining, and conducting product tests, and developing innovative means to capture and quantify performance data.
Qualifications :
Bachelor of Science in an engineering or scientific field.
Fairly good understanding of statistics and a keen eye to determine the root cause for failure are desirable.
2-4 years of aerospace experience or experience related to reliability engineering and customer liaison.
Experience in a manufacturing environment desirable
US citizenship required
Travel 10% -could include international travel
