We're glad you're exploring our Controls Engineer position and want to share some of the details.
First, we would be looking for you to have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or related field or equivalent demonstrated skills and abilities. A minimum of one years' experience in manufacturing automation and robotic technology is preferred.
Second, this position will be responsible for things like designing, developing, and installing automation systems in order to achieve system specifications. Also, you will create machinery documentation for production and maintenance as a part of the design process. The Automation Engineer will translate customer needs into working solutions and must be able to understand the needs of our process experts and design systems to support those needs. You will also be responsible for designing electrical wiring schematics for machine control panels as well as develop, write, and debug programmable logic control code to meet the needs of production and maintenance personnel.
