Sr. Analyst, Middle Office (Finance)
Role Summary:
Requires in-depth knowledge and expertise in their own job discipline and working knowledge of related disciplines. Leads projects or work streams within broader projects. Accountable for work of self and sometimes others, provides process and standards advice in area of specialty. Works independently, receives minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Directly administers and processes the books and records for complex accounts. Coordinates, checks, and validates transfers, settlements, redemptions, and reconciliations. Works under minimal supervision with direct accountability for a set of accounts and/or an administrative process.
Responsibilities:
· Administers a broad range of trade operations related transactions, ensuring proper controls and validations are in place and that activities are accurate and compliant.
· Will be responsible for Bank Debt processing from allocations through to settlements and have oversight of all other Trade Support functions including equity and Fixed income.
· Identifies and corrects quality, accuracy, or compliance deficiencies.
· Guides less experienced peers and support staff on preventing errors and interpreting process controls.
· Serves as a primary liaison between securities operations staff, relationship managers, portfolio managers, custodians, and clients to collect, analyze, and communicate information that impacts accounts.
· Fields and manages queries from internal or external clients and follows through to resolution.
· Prepares complex documentation for settlements, reconciliations, transfers, etc. Instructs team members on adjustments needed to books and records and performs a final quality review, confirming resolution.
· Following established controls, checks and validates third-party reconciliations; provides feedback on third-party performance and quality to management.
· Works with clients and internal stakeholders to prepare account outsourcing plans; stewards account transition process to the end-state infrastructure of outsourced providers.
· Analyzes report metrics and develops recommendations to address deficiencies.
Qualifications:
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 5+ years of total relevant work experience.
