What You'll Get to Do

The Production Scheduler is focused on optimizing production schedules across operational departments to meet customer demand, while maintaining standard lead times and allowing for expediting capacity and reports to the Operations Manager.

This role is perfect for an individual who has production scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment,  knowledge of Toyota Production System processes and a high-performance drive. A vital member of the Operations team, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Maximize utilization of operational capacity in curtainwall fabrication department and door fabrication department, as well as coordinate with shipping to ensure on time shipments, and accurate customer pick-up schedules.
  • Generate production schedules based on demand, customer requirements, and operational capacity.
  • Develop and analyze department lead times based on market demand, department capacities, and available supply.
  • Proactively communicate with internal customers to provide production updates and assess expedite opportunities.
  • Be aware of equipment down time, required maintenance schedules, and vacation schedules to adjust capacity as required.
  • Analyze historical data and shortfalls to lead, promote, and support continuous improvement efforts across operational departments, including production scheduling.

What We Are Looking For

  • Three (3) years of production scheduling interaction work experience in a manufacturing environment is required; production leadership with scheduling responsibility preferred.
  • Ability to operate under pressure, meet strict deadlines, prioritize workload and have the capacity to multitask, knowledge of Toyota Production System processes a plus.
  • General knowledge of ERP and MRP processes a plus.
  • High school diploma is required, college degree in operational leadership or engineering or equivalent preferred.
