Entry-level Civil Site - Fuel Systems Engineer (Finance)
Work with GPI team on the design of underground and aboveground fuel storage tank and dispensing systems.
Prepare plans, details, specifications, and supporting documents for construction/bid purposes.
Coordination with local and state agencies for permit application submittals.
Perform various design tasks including site plans, fuel system layouts, and grading plans for retail motor fuel developments.
Perform inspectional services at various stages of construction including tank installation, pre-backfill, and prior to final operation.
Coordination with petroleum equipment vendors and 3rd party engineering consultants.
Potential short-term travel outside of New England.
Review and research applicable fuel system codes and regulations related to the authority having jurisdiction.
Assist team with the successful completion of projects within established budgets and deadlines.
Qualifications:
BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
0 to 2 years of experience
EIT is required (or within 6 months of employment)
Knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D is required
Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to understand project schedules, design budgets, and work efficiently within project guidelines
Experience with permit applications to local municipalities and state agencies is a plus
Experience with field work and site observation services is a plus
Experience with fuel system engineering/inspections is a plus
