Application Development Senior Advisor - Evernorth (Information Technology)

As an Application Development Senior Advisor, you will be responsible for leading the team in the design, architecture and delivery of large-scale software applications, services and technologies, and bring powerful health services, capabilities, and solutions by harnessing the power of AI and Machine Learning.

As a key leader in the organization, you will have the opportunity to work directly with IT and business teams, owning and driving major deliverables across all aspects of software delivery and build solutions to champion for affordable, predictable, and simple health care.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a technical leader of one or multiple teams building enterprise-grade solutions using established engineering best practices, to transform stakeholder experiences and business processes
• Work with AI engineers, researchers, product teams, and other domain experts to build highly scalable engineering solutions to complex problems.
• Provide hands on technical leadership to the team, including your own code contributions.
• Drive and facilitate innovation within the team.
• Lead and contribute expertise to activities associated with defining engineering requirements, determining technical feasibility, forecasting (time, cost, complexity), and best practices to avoid pitfalls and mistakes.
• Participate in strategic planning to achieve technical and business alignment with team, leadership chain, and with customers.
• Supports the definition of technical strategy and evangelizes to development teams.
• Learns new technologies and products, engages in research and POCs to identify the best fit solutions
• Ensure high quality design reviews which meet business and architectural goals and drive critical feedback on architecture and design issues.
• Drives solution end-to-end, inclusive of partner delivery organizations. Coordinates design impacts appropriately with enterprise architecture and solution design peer groups.

Qualifications:

• Deep hands-on technical expertise in cloud based distributed software design and development.
• Experience designing software architectures for scalability, reliability and performance.
• Development experience on the AWS serverless platform is highly preferred (Lamba, S3, DynamoDB, Aurora, API Gateway, SNS / SQS / AppSync, Kinesis).
• Deep knowledge of Machine learning techniques such as reinforcement learning, knowledge of models such as BERT, experience in model performance, Bias detection preferred
• Experience with non-traditional database and knowledge representation architectures such as semantic graphs, NoSQL, is preferred
• DevOps mindset and experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, Gitlab-CI, etc)
• Experience working with container-based solutions (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS, etc)
• Prior experience as a software engineering lead.
• 9+ years of software development experience utilizing Java/.Net, Python, or full stack JavaScript.
• Knowledge of Pega BPM or AWS step functions or other business process management solutions are desirable

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 111,900 - 186,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
