Safety Security Education Supervisor (SSE) (Security)
Job Summary and Mission
As a Menzies Aviation Safety, Security Compliance and Education Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating the operational training for Menzies Aviation ensuring excellence and consistency of safety standards throughout the stations operations in order to support operational output.
Key Responsibilities
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for:
• Management of implementation, promotion, and compliance with the company Safety Management System (SMS).
• Station security in all aspects of the services provided under MA control.
• Ensuring the team is trained and training records are kept up to date and in line with corporate, airline and regulatory standards.
• Providing independent advice on operational safety issues, advising senior management and other staff in achieving continuous improvements in health and safety performance.
• Ensuring the operation remains fully compliant with internal environmental standards and all relevant industry, regulatory and state legislated requirements.
• Continually improving the process of hazard identification, risk assessment and compliance with the implementation of risk mitigation measures, safe systems of work and controls.
• Working in collaboration to develop policies that support the field operation, introduce safe working procedures, and facilitate management coaching and training.
• Actively promoting a fair and just reporting culture.
• Lead health & safety and accident investigations.
Qualifications
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess valid US driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must be willing to take a pre-employment drug screening test and undergo comprehensive background and/or fingerprint checks to satisfy TSA security requirements for airport SIDA badging
• Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal
• Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.
• Bilingual abilities in Spanish desired
• Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitively.
• Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Must have high school diploma, GED, or six months experience as an Operations Agent.
• Excellent communication skills
