POSITION OVERVIEW
The Security Supervisor reports directly to the Security Manager, who reports to the Director, Corporate Security and has a dotted line to the plant Vice President or designee. Through utilization of a predictive and integrated enterprise risk management process, the Security Supervisor actively leads designing and implementing localized security solutions that safeguard personnel, business operations and critical assets.
The Security Supervisor will serve as a security subject matter expert and will ensure all regulatory security requirements are met for a regional geographic area. The incumbent will act in the role of the Security Manager, during their absence.
Per the Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA), the Security Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the Site Facility Security Plan to ensure the site is prepared to respond to changes in the MARSEC Level. The Security Supervisor directs and supervises the security programs at the site, in addition to fulfilling the regulatory mandates of the MTSA.
Under general supervision of the Security Manager, the Security Supervisor implements programs, policies, procedures and processes in support of Cheniere's Enterprise Security strategies, including but not limited to: conducting complex security risk assessments, investigations, root cause analysis, and assisting with other general security and initiatives. Maintains good working knowledge of a wide variety of security regulations, best practices and issues. Maintains awareness of proposed changes to security/regulatory regulations, evolvement of physical security technology and industry best practices. This position is responsible for coordinating activities and establishing strong liaison between local contractors, regulatory agencies, and law enforcement.
KNOWLEDGE
An in-depth knowledge of security management, policies, standards, procedures, best practices and the Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) is essential. A general understanding of LNG (or other cryogenic hydrocarbon liquids) transportation, storage and processing, including security, maintenance, operations, governmental regulations and associated codes and standards is required. A working knowledge of U.S. Coast Guard, MTSA, Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and programs and International regulations (ISPS) is required.
