Logistics Buyer NAM Procurement (Finance)



Schneider Electric USA, Inc. seeks a Logistics Buyer - NAM - Procurement in Franklin, TN.

Job Description: Collaborate as key business partner with the NAM Supply Chain & Logistics Operations teams focused on driving improvements in service, reducing inventory and creating the optimal logistics experience for our customers. Organize and execute NAM negotiation roadmaps utilizing a collaborative project management approach. Lead the Request for Information, Request for Proposal, and contracting process for NAM Warehousing operations as needed. Govern commercial relationships with NAM third party suppliers, including key performance indicator tracking, score-carding, and managing business reviews. Support logistics procurement digitization initiatives, being Key User for Procurements Systems (SSP-SRM and Coupa). Collaborate as key business partner with our Global Field Services Logistics Operations teams focused on driving customer service improvements. Lead Global Field Services procurement roadmap and standardization as subject matter expert. Support global and regional leadership communications, including quarterly management updates and ad-hoc requests. Govern commercial relationships with global third-party suppliers including key performance indicator tracking, score-carding, and managing business reviews. Craft procurement strategy and champion solutions benchmarking across the global network. Remote work eligible up to 3 days/wk. Requires 40% travel (20% domestic, 20% international) to US, Mexico, and Canada to lead negotiations and perform site assessments.

Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's or Associates degree, or foreign equivalent, in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Administration, Operations, or related occupation and experience (5 years with Bachelor's or 7 years with Associates) in operations or procurement leadership, or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Developing and executing procurement strategies for logistics operations teams (transportation, warehousing, cross border, customs brokerage, and field service logistics); Completing complex financial analysis assignments using understanding of management accounting; Governing commercial relationships with third party suppliers including key performance indicator tracking, score-carding, and managing business reviews; Overseeing change management in systems (SAP, WMS, TMS); Negotiating contracts for procurement in transportation, warehousing and field service logistics; and Managing projects, including leading cross functional project teams.
