Human Resource Consultant, Sr. (Architecture)
Role
The senior Human Resources Consultant is responsible for providing comprehensive Human Resources operational and consultative support to managers and employees on people-related matters in the areas of benefits administration, employee relations and communication, compliance reporting, policy administration, and talent acquisition. Consultant will have in-depth knowledge of generalist functions and broad understanding of other Human Resources specialties. The position will be actively involved in delivering and developing plans, programs, and services that support business needs, foster engagement, and drive performance and productivity, including the development of communication strategies for design and delivery of these programs. This position plays an integral role in driving the credit union as an employer of choice. This position allows for an optional hybrid work arrangement which includes a combination of both in-office and remote work arrangements. (Maximum of two days remote, three days in-office).
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Knowledge and Skills
EXPERIENCE:
8+ years or more in a progressive HR Generalist/Consultant role with ability to lead, mentor, and motivate others to achieve optimal performance.
EDUCATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, or related discipline. PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to command a room, earn the confidence of the business partners, influence decisions, and effectively cause them to embrace appropriate organizational change. Approachable and trustworthy demeanor to manage conflict and confidential situations. Self-motivated, capable decisionmaker with strong time management and organizational skills.
OTHER SKILLS
Proficiency with computer software applications, including: Microsoft Office Suite and HRM Systems, specifically Ultimate Software experience is preferred. Expertise in applicable employment laws, benefits and compensation philosophies, employee communication, employee relations, HR best practices, trends and issues. Strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to multi-task; must be able to work independently and/or as a part of a team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
MENTAL AND/OR EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence.
