Psychiatry Services Training Specialist- Hybrid (Healthcare)
The Psychiatry Services Training Specialist (PSTS) will work closely with key stakeholders in providing the highest quality training & onboarding experience of new psychiatry providers at Nystrom & Associates, Ltd. The PSTS will be responsible for the delivery of up-to-date training for new hires, dictation or similar software end user training, psychiatry operational policies & procedures and workflows. They will work in close coordination with the psychiatry operations team to support the ongoing training needs of the psychiatry providers.
Location: Arden Hills, MN - Hybrid
Job Duties:
1. Collaborate with HR, operations and other key stakeholders in the onboarding, training and success of psychiatry employees and select subspecialties.
2. Prepares onboarding & individualized training plan for every new psychiatry hire in coordination with talent acquisition, HR, psychiatry operations, local management, Genoa pharmacy, and other key stakeholders.
3. Plan, coordinate and directly provide weekly initial training to all psychiatry new hires.
4. Coordinate speakers and guest presenters for the training week; contact and schedule, send out invitations with details of location or virtual connection, verify their plan to attend and any back up options as needed.
5. Edit and maintain up-to-date and accurate training materials for all psychiatry related applications & workflows, including the electronic medical record (EMR), dictation software, electronic prescribing, documentation templates, telehealth technology, Microsoft applications, etc.
6. Develop and present billing retraining as needed system wide.
7. Operate and empower others to operate in alignment with Nystroms mission, vision, values
8. Serve as the Psychiatric department subject matter expert for the EMR and Practice Management. This includes but is not limited to,
a. Reviewing all release notes for all upgrades and patches.
b. Test in the Test Environment, ensure changes, test on go-live weekend and provide go-live support.
c. Liaison between HIT and IT, Facilitate biweekly IT, HIT, Psych meetings ensuring action items are tracked and followed up on for completion, included on all tickets where there is clarification on psychiatric provider workflow
9. Provide continued support for new psychiatric providers within their first year of onboarding through follow up training, review of workflows, in-clinic training and remedial training as needed and at the direction of psychiatry operations leadership.
10. Provide dictation or similar software as needed for new and existing providers and serve as application expert for the organization.
11. Assist with the overall training department in the maintenance of training videos and training materials for the EMR, practice management & other clinical software applications used by all providers.
12. Provide back-up training support for other new hire training of providers.
13. Participates in key meetings as assigned.
14. Assist with 30, 60, 90-day check-ins for new hires as needed.

16. Setting up computers, Video meetings and presentations for trainings as well as troubleshooting any issues for presentations
17. Other duties as assigned.
