Offsite Linen Tech Northside Gwinnett (Healthcare)

Position: Full-Time Linen Distribution Technician
Location: Northside Gwinnett Hospital
Schedule: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | Rotating Weekends Required

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Off-Site Linen Distribution Technician to support our operations at Northside Gwinnett Hospital. The ideal candidate is proactive, confident in decision-making, communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Transport clean linen in covered carts to designated hospital departments.

  • Collect soiled linen and transport it in covered carts to assigned locations.

  • Verify and document linen quantities during delivery.

  • Conduct routine linen inventories.

  • Proactively resolve client issues and concerns.

  • Communicate any service or quality issues to your supervisor promptly.

  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with hospital staff.

  • Follow all infection control and safety procedures.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

  • Perform general clerical tasks such as answering phones and data entry.

  • Comply with Joint Commission and facility standards.

  • Operate linen distribution equipment when necessary.

  • Assist with additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 1–2 years of experience in healthcare, manufacturing, or a similar environment.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

  • Physically able to stand, walk, bend, twist, and lift items for extended periods.

  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs. and push/pull carts weighing up to 400 lbs.

  • Flexible schedule, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Basic computer skills with willingness to learn new systems.

  • Comfortable with giving and receiving feedback.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting, reaching, bending, twisting, and stooping.

  • Ability to move linen carts weighing up to and exceeding 250 lbs.

  • Must be able to meet physical demands for the duration of the shift.
