Provide direct oversight of the day-to-day operations, event planning, conflict resolution, leadership, and teamwork of student clubs and organizations registered at the Sarasota-Manatee campus. Provide mentorship and guidance to students and student leaders seeking to start a new student organization. Provide general support and guidance to student organizations and student leaders throughout each academic year. Work with club advisors to ensure greater investment and involvement in club's activities and events. Work with Recreation & Wellness in the coordination of the Sports Club program and process at the campus. Assess students? learning through department-wide learning outcomes and assessment efforts while gauging student concerns and interests.
Student Government Advising:
Serve as a co-advisor to the Student Government Association at the Sarasota-Manatee campus. Assist with providing training, mentorship and guidance to the branches within Student Government and individual Student Government officers on Student Government operations, conflict resolution, leadership, and teamwork. Specifically, directly advise the Legislative Branch of Student Government comprised of the campus council and campus student senators. Coordinate work across all three USF campuses. Attend regular Senate meetings as the Sarasota-Manatee campus advisor and host one-on-one's with direct advisees.
BullsConnect Platform:
Manage the BullsConnect engagement platform for the Sarasota-Manatee campus. This includes ensuring training documents, registrations, event attendance, and other aspects are up-to-date and recorded for student organizations and/or events. Ensure departments and student organizations update their information in BullsConnect on an annual basis. Responsible for providing trainings on the BullsConnect platform to new users, including students, club advisors, faculty/staff, etc. Ensure A&S funded Student Success departments are following BullsConnect guidelines. Work with the Associate Director on decisions pertaining to BullsConnect engagement platform across OneUSF and serve on the OneUSF BullsConnect enhancement group.
Co-Curricular Programming:
Work collaboratively with the Office of Student Engagement team to create and implement co-curricular programming to address the needs and interests of the student body, including large-scale campus events, keynote student events, campus activities and traditions, and OneUSF initiatives. Implement a co-curricular programming model based on the current needs of campus commuter and residential students. Work with Residence Life Coordinator for night and weekend programming. Assist Associate Director with marketing and outreach for Student Engagement. Coordinate with the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) (or equivalent) at the other USF campuses for any OneUSF needs or initiatives. Additionally, work with other campus Student Success staff for outreach events, such as orientation and admissions programs.
