As an Active Older Adult Instructor you will help our senior members reach their fitness goals by teaching a variety of classes creating a phenomenal workout experience in our Greater Beverly YMCA. On a typical day, you will educate members on proper form and technique, assist and make appropriate modifications, and inspire participants to return. You will provide engaging and challenging workouts driven by enthusiasm and active demonstration. This is a particularly exciting time to join our company as we transition into a state-of-the-art facility with access to an abundant supply of high-quality equipment and class spaces.
To thrive in this position you have experience as an exercise instructor and the ability to actively lead classes in a way that inspires member retention and engagement. You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse population of people. You have a working knowledge of fitness training and education, exercise principles, and techniques in your area(s) or specialty. This is the ideal position for someone interested in exercise science, fitness training, customer relations, or non-profits.
