This position is responsible for the direct supervision of skilled and unskilled Maintenance of Way (MOW) personnel with the inspection, maintenance, repair, installation and alteration of all the rail traction electrification, signal system, trackway and other right of way properties. This is a safety sensitive position subject to the rules and regulations of the RTD Drug & Alcohol Policy.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepares and implements work schedules, maintenance programs and procedures through interaction of the Maximus and Oracle work order system.
Monitors maintenance activities to ensure compliance with maintenance goals. Takes necessary action to ensure that standards are attained.
Provides specific instruction and direction to MOW personnel.
Conducts regular inspections of work areas in order to assure clean and safe working conditions and monitor work efficiency.
Coordinates the updating of maintenance methods and provides employee training.
Responds to emergencies, accidents, snowstorm support, special event support and any special assignments required from operations.

Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in electrical technology, closely related field of study or equivalent.
A minimum of two years of experience in electro-mechanical or MOW maintenance of a rail transit or FRA-regulated railroad.
Certified in one of the following: Signal/Traction Power, Signal, Traction Power or Track Maintainer.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

An equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Knowledge and proficiency in general industrial electrical safety rules and regulations.
Knowledge and proficiency in electrical technology, including microprocessors and high voltage.
Proficiency in Maintenance of Way operations.
Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal means.
Ability to use sound judgment.
Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details.

Pay Range:
$84,407.00 - $119,224.25 AnnualRTD posts a compensation range that represents a good faith estimate of what RTD anticipates paying for the position at the time of posting. Starting salary is based on the candidate's relevant and verified education, training and work experience.
