Events Planner (Marketing)



PURPOSE:

The Event Planner position supports the strategic planning, marketing, execution and oversight of company events which include internal company events, large tradeshow & industry expositions, Executive meetings and meeting organization. This position will support various tasks as assigned on all elements of a program, research, list management, vendor relations, marketing and on-site execution.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Simultaneously support multiple planners on numerous events of varying sizes at any one time.
  • Excellent project management/coordinating/process skills are essential.
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: working with planners on attendee management, print and creative tracking and development, administrative/data entry, , internal and external event communications, planning of off-site events, shipping & packing event materials, on-site registration and post-program procedures including feedback surveys, budget tracking, invoice reporting and exhibitor billing.
  • Manage and track multiple project deliverables and timelines.
  • Strong accounting expertise with recording and reporting expenses. Processing invoices and budget management.
  • Support post-event tracking and ROI analysis to help measure the company's marketing
  • initiatives and to improve future performance.
  • Manage & maintain Sales    Communications and internal Sales SharePoint site
  • Performs other job duties as required.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field

Experience:

  • 4-5 years directly related experience in Experiential, Event or Tradeshow Management, experience
  • 2-3 years directly related experience in Marketing, Communications, accounting/bookkeeping, expense reporting and tracking, budget preparation and analysis
  • System Implementation Preferred

Knowledge:

  • Excellent organization skills and experience with project management
  • Advanced Cvent event management software and Excel skills
  • Adobe InDesign & SharePoint skills a plus

Skills/Abilities:

  • Dynamic on-site presence and team building skills
  • Proven ability in creating effective, professional and timely communications with internal and external customers
  • Energetic, outgoing, extremely well organized, professional and always works with integrity
  • Strong negotiation and event management skills required
  • Must be able to work independently and proactively, think quickly, and problem-solve calmly
  • Appropriately work with all levels in the organizational structure
  • Highly dynamic, entrepreneurial, resourceful, detail-minded, organized, capable of working
  • under pressure, long hours and committed to delivering the best, all while maintaining a great sense of humor and team collaboration through the process
  • 35%+ Travel is expected/required.
