Recruitment Manager (Human Resources)



As Unifi's Recruitment Manager, you will be responsible for screening and interviewing wage applicants and overseeing the hourly employment process for the Yadkinville site. The hourly employment process will include background checks, reference checks, and drug testing requirements for employment. This position will also oversee the hourly recruitment process to ensure the best applicants.

How will you play an integral role?

  • Leads by example, demonstrates leadership and integrity to staff, provides regular and effective performance feedback and opportunities for development, encourages a work environment of fairness, open communication, and teamwork.
  • Coordinates the hiring process between operations and employment including interviewing, screening, and referring selected applicants to operations for openings.
  • Develops recruiting plans and strategies in support of staffing production positions, leveraging relationships with refugee program organizations, Veterans organizations, and local high schools and community colleges.
  • Actively builds and maintains relationships with local recruitment sources.
  • Researches, plans, coordinates, and travels to third-party job fairs in local and surrounding counties.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with site hiring managers and stakeholders, regularly meeting with them to align on job openings and specifications in an effort to find the best candidates for their openings.
  • Spends appropriate time on the plant floor observing various jobs, understanding the physical requirements and specifications of each position to ensure effective screening and interview processes to source the best candidates for each position.
  • Develop objectives and metrics to measure the success of recruitment, hiring, and placement efforts.
  • Ensure company policies and state and federal regulations are followed throughout the recruitment, interview, and selection processes.
  • Assists with unemployment hearings, and submits required government reports and surveys.
  • Assist the Human Resources Department with employee and community relations activities as needed.
  • Assist employees with issues and unemployment questions.
  • Perform any other duties associated with employment or Human Resources as deemed necessary by the HR Operations Manager.

Are you qualified for the position?

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, 3-5 years equivalent experience in HR or related role required
  • Experience managing and/or leading teams is preferred. (Will have one direct report)
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Proficient with applicant tracking software (UKG preferred), or workforce management software
  • Must have strong knowledge of employment laws
  • HR certification is preferred (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP)
