Client Manager (Finance)
Job Description
Duties Note: The following is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties required of this position.
ADA
E1. Provides direct service to specific accounts in order to retain/grow the account relationship.
E2. Collaborates with all internal support areas to ensure successful implementation and ongoing account satisfaction for assigned accounts. Depending on assignment, group size ranges from 51 to 750 members and may be comprised of community rated, experience rated and/or ASO accounts.
E3. Responsible for coordination of all services and aspects of the account renewal.
Education/Experience/Skills Requirements
Required Education:
Bachelors Degree: Business Admin.
Required Experience:
or related field. Minimum five (5) years previous account/relationship management experience required including prior experience in a healthcare organization. NYS Sales Insurance license is required within 60 days of assuming the job.
Required Knowledge/Skills:
1. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of the organization and with outside employer and community groups.
2. Possesses fundamental understanding of financial principles and specifically the financial drivers of the healthcare industry. Understands basic underwriting principles.
3. Ability to be responsive to the needs and requirements of the customers/members, and to provide effective ongoing servicing and support.
4. Ability to create and present effective and persuasive public presentations.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with limited supervision.
6. Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and meet assigned deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
7. Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
8. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with intermediate proficiency. Able to effectively create spreadsheets, documents and PowerPoint presentations, as well as use email.

Position requires:
*Must be able to accommodate local travel. Valid drivers license and acceptable driving history required due to travel involved with this position (DMV check will be conducted to review candidate's driving record)
*Must be able to occasionally attend off-site meetings, events, conferences
*Must be able to work in an office environment
*Travel to employer group locations, as required.
Position involves:
*Manual Dexterity Req: Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to effectively use a computer with all its components for prolonged periods of time and for the majority of required tasks
*Manual Dexterity Req: Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to effectively utilize various office equipment (phone, computer, fax machine, printer, copier, filing cabinet, etc)
*Physical Effort: Minimum; typical of most office work. Mostly sedentary work.
*Vision Req: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
*Weight: lift/carry/push/pull under 10 lbs.
