Casual - CT and X-Ray - Imaging Technologist (Finance)
This position is to cover at The Urgency Room locations. (Woodbury, Eagan, & Vadnais Heights)
Must be able to work independently in both CT and X-Ray.
LOCATION OR DEPARTMENT: Urgency Room
EXEMPT STATUS/GRADE: Non-Exempt/Step Scale
REPORTS TO: Clinic Manager or Lead Technologist
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None.
SUMMARY OF POSITION: Perform CT and X-Ray exams and procedures according to established protocols to provide quality images and patient care.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform CT and X-Ray exams and assist physician in invasive procedures in a timely manner.Demonstrate efficiency and effectiveness within the department time standards for routine exams.Obtain patient history, answer questions, and provide the patient with information about the exam and/or procedure so they are comfortable and thoroughly understand it.Work with the radiologists, referring clinics and/or patients to ensure the appropriate exams, films and medical records are correct and prepared for the exam.Ensure all necessary paperwork is accurate and complete for the radiologist, referring clinic and the patients medical records.Incorporate company values into daily interactions with internal and external customers.Other duties may include, but are not limited to, training new employees, stocking and/or ordering department supplies and assisting in other departments.
DAILY PHYSICAL DEMANDS REQUIRED FOR PERFORMING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Requires a moderate amount of sitting, standing, walking, reaching, gripping, twisting, turning and repetitive motion; some bending, kneeling, squatting, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, telephone and other office equipment. Ability to assist patients to walk, sit, stand and move to and from the exam table, wheelchair and/or Hoyer lift.
Environmental/working conditions:
High-Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood products, bodily fluids and/or hazardous materials common to a radiology setting.High-Potential exposure to ionizing radiation exams rooms and/or involved in the use of ionizing radiation common to a radiology setting.
