Vice President, Operational Excellence (Finance)
Lead by example with respect to our Strategic Vision and Hoshin Plan, including Customers, People and Innovation.
Champion organizational Safety culture with respect to behaviors, processes, and environment
Participate as a member of the Senior Leadership Team to develop, formulate, and execute long and short-range priorities
Assess current organizational manufacturing capabilities to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
Develop and execute a plan to drive improvements in collaboration with division leaders and support functions.
Support the development and rollout of operational performance standards and metrics to drive exceptional performance in all divisions.
Create and drive a standard set of shared best practices across all divisions.
Drive systems and strategies to ensure customer needs are met by understanding divisional capabilities and creating a process to maximize productivity.
Bring leading edge ideas and market-based information on innovative ways to operate the business, grow revenue and increase profitability.
Provide proactive operational improvement plans to senior leadership using data and information to support decisions, including multiple options.
Spearhead the assessment of automation solutions to support overall operational improvements and reduce the reliance on labor.
Oversee execution of the manufacturing capital budgeting and deployment process
Provide technological leadership in equipment sourcing and automation in collaboration with Innovation and Technologies functional leaders.
Develop talent for current and future needs of the business, including attracting, retaining and transitioning talent.
Actively support the Chief Operating Officer in performance management, professional development, and succession planning across all divisions.
Develop performance goals and objectives for direct staff that are aligned with organizational goals.
Provide leadership in process improvement initiatives with cross-functional and organization-wide teams.
Ensure that innovation and Lean principles and practices are integrated into day-to-day manufacturing operations (people, service, technology, products, and processes).
Identify objectives and opportunities to continuously improve efficiency, consistency, and synergy throughout all operational sites and all functional areas.
Support the execution of Environmental, Health, and Safety practices at all locations.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, or related field
Advance Degree or Certification is desirable i.e. MBA, Lean Black Belt, etc
Prior experience working with Hoshin Kanri methodology and tools
15+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing or operations management role with at least 5 years of experience in a multi plant leadership role, or a sufficient combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the position
Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking, and presentation skills
Superior leadership and team building skills with a demonstrated track record of leading teams to the achievement of superior results
Practical knowledge and experience utilizing best practice manufacturing techniques
Solid working knowledge of operational and capital budgeting
Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies
Knowledge and understanding of relevant laws, regulations, codes, guidelines, and administrative best practices related to the Surface Finishing industry
Strong personal integrity and a collaborative style; capable of building and sustaining productive, effective working relationships and a highly professional image and presence
Strong financial and / or accounting acumen, e.g., budgeting, business case analysis, etc.
Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
