Charlotte Plant Sorter (Finance)
Essential Duties:
Continually sort through donated textile, while separating good from bad productCorrectly label carts and Gaylords as SORTED, SEASONAL or BALETransfer carts and Gaylords to the appropriate staging area within the plantWeigh product as directed by supervisorMaintain a safe and orderly work environmentFollow safety procedures and report injuries and safety hazardsMaintain good housekeeping skills including sweeping and cleaning work area at the end of shiftMaintain a level of processing performance of at least 4 carts, 6 Gaylords or any combination thereof per dayDevelop the ability to sort acceptable from unacceptable donationsAbility to work productively without close supervision.Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with all employees, participants, customers and consumers working with and for Goodwill Industries.
Additional Duties:
Other duties as assigned by the Charlotte Plant Supervisor, Transportation Supervisor, Operations Manager, Retail Director or Vice President of Retail and Donated Goods.
Physical Requirements:
Have the ability to bend, reach and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.Have the ability to carry, push, pull, otherwise move, and organize merchandise on a regular basis. May involve use of a pallet jack.Ability to obtain valid forklift license.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
