Works directly with the Site leadership to develop overall RBS Roadmap implementation plans, including current and future value streams, standard work, sustained stability to achieve higher levels of Operating Certification.
Facilitates the identification of projects to achieve budgeted cost savings and to reduce andeliminate operational variances.
Reports on the progress status of all open CI projects, maintains timelines, provides updates and ensures projects are completed on time with results.
Leads and works with cross-functional teams aimed at generating projects to eliminate waste, process improvements, material flow improvements, cost reductions, quality and delivery issues or concerns.
Supports all sectors of the planning and manufacturng areas in improvement projects related to inventory management and raw material.
Creates and performs plant training and mentoring on lean manufactuing tools including 5S, visual management, standard work, Lend Forward and Kaizens.
Tracks financial performance of projects to verify savings and improvements.
Hands-on problem solving; this position requires project execution in addition to cross functional leadership.
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree
2 years leading and implementing change in a manufacturing environment
5 years utilizing Lead principles
Desired Qualifications:
Engineering/Advanced degree
Experience mentoring/coaching others
Experience working in a union environment
Clear history implementing Lean Business Systems components such as visual management, Kaizen, VSM, Kanban, etc.
