EXPERIENCE: Customer service experience required; At least 2 years casino and/or bar experience
preferred
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license;
State issued id
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Position may require walking or standing for entire shifts; ability to twist,
stoop, bend, use extensive and repetitive hand movements; lift up to 50 lbs.; ability to work in a
fast-paced environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Grand Lake Casino is a drug and alcohol-free workplace; Must be able to work in a
casino environment which includes high levels of smoke, alcohol, dust, noise and bright & flashing
lights.
JOB SUMMARY: Bar Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day operation of the Center Bar, Venue 655
Bar, and Drink Stations. It is the manager's responsibility to maintain a safe and fun environment
for casino guests and employees. Maintain all liquor licenses and ensure compliance with all
applicable laws and regulations.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Position requires good memory and focus; ability to work under pressure
and maintain an upbeat presence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Maintain current liquor licenses.
• Track and Maintain inventory levels and create pars.
• Manage the department budget and set benchmark goals for the department.
• Recruit, hire, discipline, and oversee training for bar staff
• Handles employee issues by working in accordance with departmental policies and procedures as
well as
established casino guidelines.
Oversee department schedules to ensure a smooth operation during peak hours.
Ability to diffuse tense interactions that might occur to maintain a safe and fun atmosphere for
both guests and staff
Initiates and maintains vendor relationships.
General knowledgeable of bar point-of-sale tracking systems. Manage product inventory and pricing
levels.
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the Center Bar, Venue 655 Bar, and liquor closets.
Anticipates new trends in the bar and entertainment culture.
Utilizes social media and other approved marketing avenues to boost awareness of specials and
promos. Responsible for maintaining all bar equipment and replacing items when needed.
Will perform data analysis on the bar(s) to increase efficiencies and to improve products or
services. Develops, implements, and evaluates guest service standards consistent with the Grand
Lake Casino's core service standards and brand attributes.
