  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Business Management required
  • 5 years leading sourcing projects
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills including an understanding supplier contract management
  • Expert understanding of purchasing policies, procedures, practices, and the value and use of procure-to-pay (P2P) digital platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings of component parts preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform multiple functions in a fast paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suites ( Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Experience with ERP systems, Spend Data Analytics & Reporting, eSourcing, inclusive of eAuctions and contract management systems
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency to deliver results
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented to manage multiple projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Certifications: Supply Chain Management or Purchasing
  • PMP certification.
  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt

TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Buyerin Atlanta, GA.

Responsible for effectively and professionally leading sourcing activities associated with field related purchases & Manufacturing Supply chain operations. The incumbent must have thorough knowledge and understanding of procurement concepts, principles and practices, and the techniques of ensuring task completion,
project delivery processes, and supplier relationship expectations. The incumbent understands the role of procurement and of this position in the project delivery process, understands the integration of procurement with other functions, accomplishes value-added expectations, and performs assignments in accordance with established policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Follow the 7 Step Sourcing process in managing Mfg & field and SBC spend to negotiate total cost of ownership savings, increase productivity and efficiency, establish and manage effective contracts.
  • Advise management of opportunities to improve cost, consolidate spend, savings opportunities, performance or process using facts, research & analysis.
  • Identify, recommend, and drive the implementation of cost-reduction opportunities and process improvements
  • Prepare bidder lists, request quotation via eRFX and eAuctions, conduct bid evaluations and negotiations in conjunction with stakeholders for goods and services not covered under existing contracts.
  • Complies with existing contract & sourcing strategies for execution of purchases.
  • Obtain necessary reviews and approvals of bidder exceptions, bid evaluations, recommendations, purchase orders, and change orders prior to execution.
  • Foster close working relationships with branches and other internal stakeholders.
  • Utilize established policies, procedures, systems, and tools to assure maximum contribution.
  • Evaluate facts surrounding purchase order-related problem areas, determine the most appropriate remedial actions, and implement such actions through available means.
  • Receive, analyze, and resolve supplier inquiries, service issues, disputes, and payment discrepancies.
  • Identify and advise management of purchase order-related risks.
  • Lead or participate in quarterly business reviews
  • Actively participate in meetings with internal stakeholders and complete assigned actions arising out of these meetings promptly.
  • Follow up and close out purchase orders as required.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned.
