In this role you will manage a full requisition workload while leading TA initiatives and serving as the right hand to the Manager. Your work will impact the building and scaling of Baker's hiring culture as it grows.

An influential thought leader, this person is excited by facilitating alignment in process and data integrity, while sharing or challenging best practices in talent acquisition. SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

Education / Training / Work Experience:

  • 5+ years of recruiting experience working in a full cycle, medium to high volume hiring environment, or, 3+ years of described recruiting experience with 2+ additional years of relevant professional experience in a sales or customer service capacity
  • A mix of agency and corporate recruitment experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred, HR Certificate a plus
  • Proven ability to develop proactive and creative strategies to identify top talent
  • Experience closing candidates and negotiating complex compensation packages
  • Experience influencing and advising hiring managers as a trusted business partner

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to package information in clear, concise executive level ready format
  • Proven ability to drive programs, lead people through change and meet deliverables in a complex environment
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a rapidly changing regulatory and business environment
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), proficiency with human resource information systems (HRIS) a plus
  • Proficiency with MS Office, internet research, and social media platforms for recruitment purposes
  • Knowledge of ethical and professional recruitment industry standards

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

  • Hybrid in-office and remote
  • Able and available for occasional, regional travel

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Source, recruit, interview, and close candidates for all levels of the organization by promoting the business and culture and providing a high-touch candidate experience
  • Develop creative strategies to identify and hire top talent, including proactive pipelining
  • Utilize and maintain a variety of sourcing channels, fully leveraging resources such as employee referrals, social media, outreach efforts, existing ATS candidates, Boolean search, and job posting optimization
  • Maintain a solid level of industry knowledge and comprehensive understanding of competitive landscape
  • Accurately assess candidates for culture add, competency and skill fit; quickly synthesize hiring manager feedback to modify assessment throughout search
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to fully understand the role and it's competencies, division intricacies and business needs, and advise them based on your expert knowledge of the talent market
  • Advise hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques and lead alignment meetings and debriefs
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of talent acquisition programs such as talent brand, career pathing, succession and referrals
  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with universities, trade schools, the military community and professional/trade organizations
  • Assist in creating engaging content for employment related job ads, social media posts and other recruitment marketing
  • Achieve TA metrics goals, gather data and maintain a scorecard. Make recommendations for meaningful data improvements in ATS and functional metrics
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships HR and assist in projects such as job description development, learning & development mapping and company events
