Adjunct, Field Experience Supervisor (Finance)



The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee is seeking an adjunct university supervisor for the Elementary Education program. Clinical experiences are highly valued and integrated throughout the program. This position involves supervising elementary education preservice teacher interns during their early field experiences and/or final internships within local school districts. The University Supervisor will observe assigned USF teacher candidates and foster relationships with local schools and district partners where the interns are placed.EDUCATION:
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree is required

EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience in coaching preservice and/or in service elementary teachers.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the field of education is required.
  • Three years of teaching experience in K-6.
  • Clinical education training.

• Observe interns as they interact with students and deliver lessons.

• Communicate and collaborate effectively with interns' mentor teachers.

• Conduct coaching cycles with interns, including pre-conferences, observations, and post-conferences.

• Maintain regular communication with interns, providing pedagogical coaching and guidance.

• Lead weekly seminar classes aligned with the clinical experience.

• Complete required university documentation associated with internships.

• Evaluate and grade assignments related to the clinical experience course.

• Support interns in navigating challenges and developing solutions.

• Participate in collaborative planning with other university supervisors. Apply
