The Opportunity
As a Director of Strategic Delivery, you will join the Strategic Delivery (SD) team, which supports Group Insurance's highest priority, most complex, technology-driven Agile initiatives from intake through readiness. The SD team ensures that the right technology driven work is identified, prioritized, and delivered to support the achievement of GI's strategic objectives. Team members acts as a liaison between the Agile, New Way of Working (NWoW) teams and the business and ensures that work coming out of the NWoW teams is operationally, organizationally, and market ready.

In this highly visible role, you will provide concierge-level support to one of GI's most complex, highest priority initiatives within its overall transformation portfolio across people, process, and technology. You will own and drive the operational readiness for a cross-functional systems implementation being developed using Agile methodologies. You will manage across as well as up, keeping senior leaders informed on progress, opportunities, and challenges. You are execution- oriented and value the opportunity to be creative and innovative, and to collaborate with stakeholders across the US Businesses and within Group Insurance. You bring knowledge about Absence and Disability products, claims and/or operations to this role and a willingness to learn about all facets of the Group business and the external competitive landscape. Since the SD team is still relatively new, you will also be instrumental in helping the team evolve and ensure it is meeting the needs of its key stakeholders. Specifically, you will:

  • Lead the initiative's day-to-day readiness activities as well as the longer-term readiness plan that aligns to the system roadmap

  • Create, maintain, and execute readiness plans as well as the initiative's communications and change management plans

  • Provide holistic reporting of the initiative's progress through tools such as dashboards and scorecards

  • Identify project and execution risks and work with Risk and Internal Controls teams to identify mitigants

  • Partner with the initiative's Chief Product Owner (CPO) and the Product Owners (POs) to understand the overall timeline and implications for readiness

  • Serve as a key connect point between the NWoW teams and the business to prepare for go-live and post-production activities

  • Contribute to the team's formation through helping to build and standardize processes and tools

  • Interact with key leaders in GI to keep them informed of progress of key initiatives and updates on key milestones.

Your Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Disability and/or Absence product, claims, or operations experience and/or experience with large scale systems implementations required

  • Experience with Agile methodologies

  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity and helping decipher and define key measures of success

  • Experience leading in matrixed organizations

  • Demonstrated experience in the development of communication and change management plans

  • Ability to package and present insight and messaging in an actionable way.

  • Ability to work under pressure and to easily adapt to changes in priorities to meet marketplace and business needs

  • Experience working with data and utilizing analytical insights to tell a story in the appropriate context

  • Knowledge of content, creative and channel strategy across the optimal mix of traditional, social, and emerging platforms.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive multiple initiatives and competing priorities with excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills with proven ability to communicate with all levels of the organization

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $144,500.00 to $195,500.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
