Concessions Cashier/Cook (Finance)
Welcome guests who approach the concession stand or call out for one
Take orders for food and beverages and prepare food items such as sandwiches and hotdogs using appropriate quantities of ingredients
Follow proper sanitation guidelines during food preparation and packing activities
Acquaint customers with prices and packing options; follow instructions regarding to portions and packing
Ascertain that sandwich wraps and straws are made available before each shift
Perform garnishing duties on salads, sandwiches and wraps according to customers' requirements and instructions
Issue tickets for ordered items that may take time to fill to identify their orders.
Process cash payments and tender change, along with ensuring that all received cash is well accounted for and stored in a safe area
Participate in the set-up of concession stands, arrange inventory of supplies, and communicate any shortages of deficiencies to vendors or suppliers
Perform clean-up duties after each shift and ensure that concession stand is sanitized and tidied up for the next attendant
Handle light bookkeeping duties by creating and maintaining reports of cash receive against food and beverage items sold
Clean and maintain food preparation equipment such as grills, ovens, food bins, etc. on a regular basis
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Must be able to train, follow and execute training manuals; have proven performance in implementing and maintaining food production operational standards.
Must have knowledge of kitchen/restaurant sanitation, operation and maintenance of equipment.
Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift, including holidays and weekends.
Must present a well-groomed appearance.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or team members.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
