Job Description:

The EH&S Coordinator role is a hybrid role that will combine administrative functions as well as EHS technical knowledge.  The position will demand creative problem solving, strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within the organization. The EH&S coordinator will be expected to streamline and continuously improve programs and processes already in place.

What you'll do:

  • Tracks and measures Schreiber EH&S performance and engage in a hands-on role to create and implement plans to improve performance.
  • Help conduct and document US Based Compliance Audits & Process Safety Management programs as required by regulatory requirements
  • Lead Implementation of Environmental & Safety Document Control
  • Manage Global Sustainability Metrics
  • Coordinate US based EHS Master Schedule (Annual regulatory, workshops, training, compliance items)
  • Assist with the execution of EH&S contracts (NFPA, Basic Safe, MSDS, etc) and administrative support
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned
  • Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.

What you need to succeed:

  • Associates degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Microsoft Applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Project, etc)
  • Workday
  • Current knowledge or the ability to learn specialized computer applications specific to EH&S (Basic Safe, PHA Pro, etc)
  • Knowledge of Schreiber Process Excellence Problem Solving Methodologies
