Financial Analyst (Temp-to-hire) (Finance)
Camp Gladiator is seeking a temp to hire a Financial Analyst to support the financial analysis, budgeting, metrics development, and reporting needs of the company. This role will report to the VP of Finance & Accounting and will be dedicated to supporting executive leaders and department managers in developing and maintaining company budgets, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis. This individual will partner closely with the Accounting team to support the month-close process and drive accuracy throughout the financial statements.
To thrive in this role, you will have a proven track record of success with data-intensive projects and should have a basic understanding of traditional financial forecasting and reporting. You should also have an interest in building and working with non-financial data and metrics to inform decision-making. We need someone who is comfortable entering a new role with a wide-ranging mix of responsibilities and deliverables expected on an ongoing basis.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
FINANCIAL REPORTING & ANALYSIS
Partner with the accounting team to ensure that financial information is reported in a way that allows for proper reporting, presentation, and analyticsExamine financial statements each month for inconsistencies, inaccuracies, or other anomalies and investigate/resolve accordinglyMaintain a semi-annual and rolling 18 month operating expense and cost of revenue forecast by meeting with department leaders monthly to review actuals while suggesting adjustments based on updates, trends, and intuitionDevelop quality assurance practices around internal and external reporting to ensure data accuracy and integrity
SALES REPORTING AND ANALYSIS
Study key data and information throughout CGs systems to help drive conclusions and to aid decision-making relating to sales, customer engagement and satisfaction, pricing levels, pricing structures, customer service operations, customer retention, marketing campaign effectiveness, trainer productivity, trainer compensation, etc.Partner with Sales Operations to develop, maintain, and distribute daily, monthly, and quarterly KPIs, and metrics (Including, but not limited to, company-level metrics, company-wide and individual sales performance, and recruiting pipelines and efficacy)Respond to ad-hoc analytics requests and ensure delivery in a timely and accurate manner. This will include working with the VP of Finance & Accounting to prioritize such requests and building in automation, when possible, to reduce request volumeSupport SVP of Sales Ops in establishing and tracking field incentive budgets, and partner with internal field support to effectively communicate said budgets to external business partnersSupport SVP of Sales Ops in performing analysis on trainer pay updates and the overall impact to individual trainers and the company as a wholePartner with various department leaders to develop data architecture best practices for operational data sourcesMaintain fluent knowledge of the companys core products and services
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree required. Business, finance, or economics major is preferred2+ years of experience performing the duties described in this job description, preferably in high-growth, dynamic environmentProficiency in MS Excel and data miningAn individual who creatively imagines solutions while taking a measured, careful approach in implementing them to ensure accuracy and excellence in reporting and analysisSelf-starter who can take ownership of projects and areas of responsibilityStrong communication skills with a proven ability to build cross functional partnerships to make effective decisions collaborativelyHigh level of attention to detail and accuracy and ability to make effective decisions and solve problemsStrong organization, coordination, and communication skillsBasic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Flexibility & adaptability in an environment of continual changeKnowledge of Adaptive Insights is required
