Are you passionate about bringing hardware to life through automation, robotics, and intelligent control systems? IPA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and develop next-generation hardware automation platforms and intelligent sensor-integrated systems that power our advanced robotic and industrial solutions.
In this hands-on, high-impact role, you'll lead the design and integration of electrical and embedded hardware systems across mechanical, software, and sensor technologies—playing a key role in innovation and performance optimization.
Design and develop integrated electrical-mechanical-software systems for robotics and automation applications.
Build advanced embedded hardware platforms using MCUs, FPGAs, real-time controllers, and motion control systems.
Develop and tune control algorithms for robotics, motor control, and system feedback (e.g., PID).
Design and optimize PCBs, power electronics, and circuit layouts with a focus on scalability and reliability.
Integrate machine vision, LiDAR, and sensor fusion technologies into robust automation platforms.
Prototype, test, debug, and refine functional systems through hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and real-time diagnostics.
Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, mechanical, and software teams to ensure seamless system integration.
Maintain engineering documentation, interface specifications, and safety/regulatory compliance (UL, IEC, EN).
Support R&D and contribute to next-gen automation systems using AI, IoT, and edge computing technologies.
Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field.
10+ years of experience designing automation hardware and embedded control systems.
Proven success developing scalable electro-mechanical systems with real-world deployment.
Deep hands-on expertise with:
Embedded systems: MCUs, FPGAs, PLCs, real-time processors
Programming: C/C++, Python, MATLAB, ROS, LabVIEW
Communication protocols: USB, CAN, Modbus, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, RS-232/485
Motion control systems: Servos, actuators, industrial sensors
PCB and circuit design: From concept to manufacturable layouts
Experience with DFM and taking products from prototype to production.
Familiarity with AI-enhanced automation, cloud-connected systems, and IoT devices is a plus.
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on R&D environment.
