Wildlife Biologist (Engineering)

Job Summary: 

• Develop, conduct, maintain and advance a comprehensive integrated ecosystem management program for the conservation of fish, plant and wildlife species.

• Implement a rare, threatened, and endangered management program for plant and animal species under protected status.

• Maintain and execute requirements of the integrated natural resource management plan.

• Participate in development of conservation plans and habitat management plans.

• Support prescribed burn program.

• Engage with federal and state agencies in ecosystem management processes to include issuing biological opinion reports.

• Support efforts by public and private entities such as Universities performing natural resource research studies.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• This role may require that company vehicles are driven.

• Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Ecology or related discipline

• Possess 5 or more years' experience in biology field.  

• A strong background in leading/facilitating natural resources conservation planning processes.

• Experience in developing Integrated Natural Resources Management Plans (INRMP)

• Experience implementing restoration projects.

• Experience working with state and federal agencies (e.g., USFWS, FL Division of Natural Resources) and major regulatory frameworks (e.g., NEPA, ESA)
