MQ: Master's Degree with 5 years experience.
The job requires a PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering or Condensed Matter Physics with an at least 5 years working experience as a postdoctoral fellow or research associate after the PhD degree, specifically first-hand experience in boron arsenide single crystal growth and characterizations using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope, Raman spectroscopy, time domain thermoreflectance, etc. for at least six months, thermoelectric materials and devices research experience for at least three years, experience in semiconductor materials synthesis and devices, etc.
The candidate will carry out research on growing boron arsenide single crystals with thermal conductivity above 2000 W/mK at room temperature and thermal conductivity measurement using TDTR, FDTR, transport, etc., and synthesizing high temperature thermoelectric materials with an average figure-of-merit above 1 in the whole temperature range of 300 K - 1300 K, and also to assist the research projects being carried out by others in a research group. As a measurement criterion for success, multiple papers per year need to be published in top journals as the leading author.
