Job Description
Inspects, repairs maintains all types of electrical equipment at the mine such as motors, generators, substations, breakers power cables and various instrumentation equipment
This position requires a strong electrical background with an emphasis on diesel electric locomotives trouble shooting and various railroad instrumentation repairs. The ability to perform thorough inspections of the equipment and to identify problem areas. The applicant must be able to read electrical prints and follow procedures in manufacturer service manuals.
The applicant must be willing to follow all company safety rules.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED equivalent.
- Safety minded. Self motivated and willing to learn.
- Minimum 3-5 years Electrical background.
- Comfortable working around heavy equipment.
This position requires the applicant to work in all weather conditions and is of a physical nature. Must be able to work with a diverse group of employees. Must be able to follow all the safety rules required in a mining environment.
