Human Resources Affirmative Action & People Experience Analyst (Finance)



The Human Resources Affirmative Action & People Experience Analyst is responsible for managing the organization's Affirmative Action Plans (AAP) and supporting key People Experience and DEI initiatives. This role fosters an inclusive workplace culture by leading compliance efforts, conducting workforce analysis, and implementing programs that enhance employee engagement and diversity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Affirmative Action Compliance:

  • Administer the Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) to ensure full compliance with affirmative action obligation and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify areas in our AAP where attention is required and make recommendations for action plans that establish strategies for addressing AA goals.
  • Analyze workforce data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and implement reporting and audit processes to measure the effectiveness of AAP objectives and whether objectives were attained on an ongoing basis.
  • Partner with HR Business Partner and Generalist to ensure policies are inclusive and updated in line with AAP.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Support:
  • Assist the Director of People Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion programs across the company.
  • Organize outreach programs to attract, retain, and develop a diverse workforce.
  • Stay current with regulatory updates and DEI best practices.

Employee Engagement:
  • Partner with HR and cross-functional teams to enhance employee engagement and retention strategies.
  • Monitor the impact of programs and provide recommendations for continuous improvement based on data and feedback.

NONESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with training sessions on affirmative action, diversity, and inclusion-related topics.
  • Support the development of internal and external reports related to DEI and employee engagement.
  • Participate in company events and community outreach programs.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong understanding of affirmative action regulations, compliance requirements, and DEI principles.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present workforce data effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Experience in program development and employee engagement strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR-related data management systems.
  • Experience in creating ad hoc reporting from HRMS systems (payroll, recruiting, HRIS)

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a HR Compliance role or a HR Generalist role with compliance responsibilities.
  • 1+ years of experience administering affirmative action plans.
  • Knowledge of employment-related federal and state statutes, laws, and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of HR metrics and analytics.
  • Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with formulas and VLOOKUPs.
  • Elevated level of discretion and judgment and the ability to manage confidential matters with integrity.
  • Ability to think critically and analyze and communicate complex information to all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of OFCCP regulations and EEO requirements is a plus.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS (if needed)

  • Ability to travel occasionally for the company-sponsored events and training.
