Territory Sales Manager - Cedar Rapids/Iowa City (Finance)
Develop working relationships built on trust. Understand current & potential customers' business objectives and challenges. Proactively and creatively understand and solve client problems while suggesting ways to improve profitability and assist with budget planning (planning marketing activities, assisting with menu & design changes, etc.)
Responsible for developing relationships & executing business reviews for top territory customer accounts.
Responsible for territory profit margins to include the management of contract margins, deletions, additions and approved referencing.
Review District Sales Representative territorial sales results and use problem-solving skills to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to support overall business plans and produce quality service.
Coordinate territory meetings to focus on DSR training, vendor meetings and corporate communication.
Participate in developing sales department goals and objectives.
Responsible for reviewing quarterly reports on new customer results as well as lost customers with insights on reasoning.
Provide feedback to Director of Sales on current trends and market conditions and District Sales Representative Performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience working alongside customers and in strategic management consulting
Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
Track record of over-achieving sales quota
Familiarity with inventory procedures
Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
Valid driver's license & clean motor vehicle record
Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in effective sales and strategic planning
Established and recognized presence in a regional marketplace with an extensive list of relationships
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to pull reports and use creative approaches to provide solutions
Excellent organizational, influencing and presentation skills
